COMPLETE LIST OF PASSERS - NURSE LICENSURE EXAMINATION (DECEMBER 2012)

To all the passers, our big CONGRATULATIONS!

    Monday, January 28, 2013

    Good day Isidoreans!

As much as we want to gather all of you and hopefully have a drop by on your social media profile, we'd like to call your attention to take part of this activity. Please leave a comment below this post if you're from batch 85 of San Isidro National High School-Libmanan South District.

You may see the SINHS Timeline for further information about our school including its transformation from a Barangay High School to a National High School!

Without further ado, I'll leave this graphic below to indicate that this post is dedicated for the mentioned batch. I'll also make further posts in random, similar to this but dedicated to other batch of San Isidro National High School.

Looking forward to meeting you, Isidoreans batch 85!
    SINHS Libmanan South--batch 85

We look at the past to recollect and ponder things that have paid for becoming who we are now and to have a clear perspective and ideas we need to step into our future. As we roll our memories backward, we tend to keep those portions of our past actions we believe should stay and keep up doing while neglect those memories that have brought us darkness or dragged us to unfortunate situation. No matter how we treasure or hate our past, there’s one thing that’s always sure: We have to live our present and face our inevitable future.

It’s another year once again and perhaps you’re done with all those recollecting memories and maybe you’re also done with your New Year’s resolution. It really feels invigorating during this early time of the year because we’re like hopefuls wanting to have some new adventures, new things to discover, new hopes and definitely new heights!

But I know what’s more that makes you happy and it is the people you have around you right now who are always there beside you, supporting you no matter what you’ve been through. Just look around and you’ll see them.

If you’re ready to completely start your New Year right then I’m glad to share to you that you’re not alone! Sulit.com.ph, the undisputed number one online advertising site in the Philippines, is very generous enough to give away Php 10,000 gift checks to five (5) lucky readers of a winning blog who will share their 10 must have Sulit items to start this New Year right! Check out the complete mechanics after the break.

In my case, if I have to start the New Year right with Sulit.com.ph, I would choose to have:

    CONDO UNIT

Start the year right with Sulit.com.ph--condo unit Quezon city
    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/7565942

I’m currently living in Quezon City and I wonder if where in this place I can find an affordable apartment to live. I’m surprised to see a long list of result when I searched for it on Sulit. Maybe this DMCI condominium at the border of Quezon City and San Juan is a nice place to start right. What do you think?

    FURNITURE

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/7201806

If I have to live in a condo or apartment then for sure I will need some furniture to have a different and nice set up. I particularly love wooden furniture because aside from I love nature, it makes me feel I’m in my home province and you know like living the old times. Further, I think they’re cheaper than metallic or plastic furniture. I checked this one store here offering warehouse rates of wooden home furniture and home parts and it sounds like a good deal!

    VAN FOR RENT OR HIRE

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/2946945

Of course, I can’t just transfer all my stuff from our residence to my new condo (assuming)! I need some big, like really big car to transfer all the appliances there! Did you know Sulit.com.ph has also a wide array of stores offering car for rent and this one is just perfect if you’re also looking one. What I like about their service is that they have a wide range of cars for rent with driver included and they accept payment through Paypal! They even allow trips to selected provinces including Bicol so they really offer a great deal!

    CURTAINS

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/5203528
After setting up a nice living room with wooden furniture perhaps I can blend something with it to complete the ambiance like these Roman curtains from City House of Decor. They offer custom designs for curtains beddings and wallpapers and free installations too! More than that, they have free consultations for all your decorating needs and 10% discount on all items and referrals!

    BUSINESS

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/5023631

One of my real dreams in life is to put up my own business in the future and I’m starting it even before this year through savings--at least little by little! And maybe you should think about it too because a good business will help you have a financially sustainable life! I want a Water Refilling Station business because aside from it’s clicked, it’s easy to establish and I think easy to manage too plus the fact that everyone drinks water! How about you? what business do you want to start this year or if not yet this year, at least, in the near future?

    BUSINESS TRAINING

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/4318780
But prior putting up a business, I think I should consider taking some training first to be able to know the essentials, pointers and strategies in starting the business right and I think Business Coach Philippines is capable of giving what I need. I checked their Sulit store and I’ve learned they just conducted a seminar on “How to Start a Water Refilling Station Business” with discussions from water packages, ideal place to start the business, ROI and many more! Sigh! How I wish I was there during the seminar!

    KIDDIE BIKE

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/5260833
One of the many things I want to do for myself this year is to have more time bonding with my family! I don’t have kids yet but I have one nephew who’s very close to me and he loves to bike! So I also checked if Sulit.com.ph has it in store and I wasn’t disappointed! This store offers kiddie bikes for as low as Php1750 up to Php3000. The store is just in Cubao but they also have shipping for those outlying customers.

    WORKSHOP

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/6857909
Or maybe, for a change, I can send my nephew to Trendsetter and take some personality development and acting workshop. He’s already growing up and surprisingly he started thinking like mature and I think developing his personality will help him to build proper attitude for his age. Trendsetter isn’t just for kids but also for teens and adults and they have the whole package to bring your personality to the next level!

    GADGET/MOBILE DEVICE

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/7101130
You know these days having a mobile device or gadget—feature phone, smartphone, tablet, camera, laptop etc. is a must! Having them are vote vital not just for communicating with your loved ones but also for monitoring them, your business and even yourself through apps and different programs. I found several good stores that sell gadgets at Sulit and I think this one is worth of a try. At least, they have a number of gadgets in store that are ready to own and very affordable. What’s more is that they even buy your used laptops if you don’t anymore need them, or have them for pawn instead!

Lastly, the 10th must-have for me to start my New Year right with Sulit.com.ph is to get a:

    BODY MASSAGE

    View this ad: http://sulit.com.ph/7568505
It would be so tiring to for sure when all I have in the list were happily done and to treat myself for the effort, I think I deserve some body massage from Snow Breeze! Their body scrub for 1 and a half hour at only Php 500 is I think worth of a try. Then after that, I can just relax for the rest of the day!

    CONTEST MECHANICS

Sorry for that long personal share but if you want this chance to win Php10,000 Gift Checks from Sulit.com.ph, here are the mechanics:

    1. Write a comment below this article (either using IntenseDebate or Facebook comment system) about your 10 must-have Sulit items. Note that all your 10 must-have should come from the Sulit.com.ph website and not from anywhere else! Maybe you could buy at least one or two of them if you won!

If you're a regular visitor of this website, you've probably noticed that a new feature is being rolled out from time to time, little by little. Today, the site just completed adding two (2) new commenting systems to make you Isidoreans and other visitors feel free to leave comments in the most convenient way possible! Introducing the IntenseDebate and Facebook comments systems!

    IntenseDebate Comment System

IntenseDebate is one of the most very popular commenting systems used by many websites. It's lite and very easy to use. There are just enough reasons why it's been decided to go for this commenting system. One reason is that comments can be moderated by one particular account/person. In case some are just spamming on the site, there's a way to filter them and never let them come back (be warned). Another reason is that, it is very easy to implement. Just one click to install to supported platforms such as Typad, Blogger and Wordpress and you have an ultimate comment system! Additional features include cool widgets such as the one at the Recent Comments section of this site.

Leaving a comment using IntenseDebate is easy. Simply key in your reaction/comments on the large text area then to be able to post your comment, login using your IntenseDebate, Wordpress or  OpenID account and click the Submit Comment button. If you don’t have an account in any of the mentioned platforms, you may rather input your name(required), email(required but will not be published) and your website url(if any) before clicking the submit button. Take a look at the screenshot below.

    Facebook Comment System

Another commenting system we just had completely and successfully rolled out is the Facebook commenting system. While it is unquestionable that IntenseDebate can offer a nice commenting system already, it doesn't have an intuitive function for 'social reach'. Since most Isidoreans are on Facebook, it is a must-do for us that we find ways to make this website reach them by becoming more social. Facebook comment plugin is a very much big of help for those who are relatively new in leaving comments on websites.

To leave a comment via Facebook, just type your text on the large text area. The system automatically detects if you're already logged in on Facebook so if you're staying on Facebook prior to visiting a site with such plugin, you don't need to Facebook Connect. type the Comment button when done and you're comment is submitted!

With these two new commenting systems, we hope to make you be encouraged to participate in every topics and blogs that is published on this website. We hope we to see more interactivity, dynamicity and social reach. Try testing it now by leaving a comment below this article! :)

I've been looking for some high quality--at least not too pixelated logo of SINHS on the web, thinking someone might have uploaded it somewhere but I failed finding any. I tried scanning pages at SINHS official portal but they only have the scanned logos there. One of them was I think taken from the Multiply site I've created way back my college days--which I already abandoned because Multiply is now turned to an e-commerce site (a buy-and-sell in particular) rather than a personal/profile-based or social networking site.
    SINHS Libmanan South Logo
Some of the SINHS scanned logos published at the about section of SINHS portal
After that little disappointment I thought I should work on vectorizing their latest logo (the one at the uppermost of the screengrab above) instead. I downloaded the three logos though because I might also consider vectorizing all of them for reference purposes—In case someone would write about 'SINHS logos through the years', the HD logos are ready.

As you can look on this Alumni group page of SINHS, The page already uses a nice logo of the school. I aimed to work on the different one this time and I considered it a self-project that I called "The SINHS HD Logo Project!"

That same night I downloaded the logos, I started working on the vectorization. Just for the information of everybody, vectorization is the process of rendering an image from a bitmap image to a vector image so that it is smooth, crystal clear and in other words a better image. I've learned vectorizing an image during college as our faculty required us to vectorize our scanned drawing. It was a very long process for me that time as it is both tedious and tiring but as the learning process goes on, I started appreciating its importance. Take a look at the image below for my very first vectorized image.
I know what you’re thinking. “IT’S UGLY,” right? And maybe you couldn’t even believe that I’d draw this Princess (accept it or not but it’s a Princess) from a seatmate’s notebook instead of drawing something like a car or a building. I spent from hours to a day to polish that first vector image but if I have to do it again now, it would only take from minutes to an hour as I already learned the proper techniques of doing it.

So then again that same night I finished rendering the image from Bitmap to Vector image. I decided to change some details on the logo such as the font—I can’t guess the exact font used in the original logo and the torch which I made a little more lifelike or convincing.

Here’s my final output. What do you think?
    SINHS Libmanan South Logo
I would love to share the step by step process of doing it, just let me know in the comment section of this article if you want me to do it! :)

I was scrolling through my Facebook homepage when a set of thumbnails caught my attention about one fellow alumni, and now a teacher in San Isidro National High School.I immediately thought someone like her is worth giving a loud shout out so let me dedicate this post to our birthday celebrant, a lovely faculty of SINHS, Ma'am Minnie Gamosa!

    ABOUT MA'AM MINNIE GAMOSA

Ma'am Minnie Gamosa is a certified Isidorean. She's from batch 2002 and I can say that she's one of the most notable students from her batch. After graduating high school, she took up Bachelor of  Secondary Education Major in Computer Education at Ateneo de Naga University. Prior completing her course in Ateneo, she spent some time earning units in Physical Education and Health at Naga College Foundation and Northeastern Philippines and in Music at University of Nueva Caceres (UNC). Nevertheless of all the hard work, she got her diploma at the prestigious school with flying colors! To further put an edge on her knowledge, she took up MaEd Educ Management at UNC until 2008.

She became a teacher then at Colegio del Santisimo Rosario (CSR) in Centro Libmanan Camarines Sur from June 2006 to March 2008 and eventually a faculty in San Isidro National High School with Teacher I status.

Knowing her subjectively, I can say she's a simple woman, intelligent, kind hearted and very approachable--qualities that make up a good educator.

    CELEBRATING WITH STUDENTS

I asked Ma'am Minnie about her birthday celebration with one of her class students and she said she's happy that she's able to share her blessings (and so the happiness) to others.
"Mala ta maugma man ta naishare ko man ang mga blessings ko sa ibang tao..."
Meanwhile she's also happy to share these photos of her birthday celebration at the school! Enjoy!
Thank you so much Ma'am Minnie and once again, happy birthday! :)

    Monday, January 14, 2013

We (4A of Batch 2006) just had a small reunion last December. It was fun and I enjoyed every moment I'm with my dearest friends and classmates once again--it's been 6 years since we parted ways after our graduation! I know that some of our classmates are organizing a gathering like this yearly but this is my first time to attend as this is also my very first time to have a month-long vacation!

After organizing the event on Facebook--we've settled everything from picking the best time and date, place and contribution as usual, we finally decided to go to Pechelito's Place on December 29, meet-up at  food court of E-Mall.
SEE ME AT. Meet-up at foodcourt of E-Mall. Halos mayong pagbabago, iyo man giraray ang mga pandok (Haha). Siyempre si iba may aki na tapos si iba man iri-irulusyunan pa lang! :D

We've been waiting at the place for more than an hour wondering if other classmates would still make it but to no avail. We decided to proceed then to the Jeepney station to reach our destination!

But wait, someone is calling! One of our classmates find her way out of someone to be part of the celebration! Hooray sis! :)

While walking to the station--I was at the heart of Naga City then, I noticed a lot of changes, improvements if I may call it, that turned this city to a commercial district similar to some places in Metro Manila. Let me show you some photos!
BUSY STREET.  Naga City is a wonderful city with busy streets at night because of the students going home, servants of God going to Catholic Church or just like us--people hanging around the city!
ELECTRONIC TRAFFIC SYSTEM. I just found ourselves crossing this street with an electronic lights controlling the traffic--kinda reminds me of the streets in Ayala.

LIGHT AND SMOKE. Meanwhile near the Jeepney station is a night market where Nagueños buy different local dish for dinner.
We finally reached the Jeepney station going to Mariner's village, Magarao! In a few minutes more our ride was over and we're already at Pechelito's Place. I'm not expecting too much about the resort but it's a fine place... And our celebration has finally begun!

In fairness, if there's one reason why I would recommend Pechelito's Resort as an ideal place for reunion is because the foods here are incredibly delicious yet affordable!
A group picture after the meal...
...And buckets of beer after! Cheers! =)

We spent the rest of the night chatting about our personal lives, a bit of discussion about 'life with a purpose' if you know what I mean and future plans to have the same celebration but a bigger and grander one!

That's all for now, here's one last big smile from our group!

Editor's Note: This article is written and submitted to us by Albert Israel, photos are taken from his album Pechelito's Resort with permission. If you want to submit an article to be featured on this website, just go to our contact page for the details on how you can reach us!

Last December, I had the opportunity to visit one of the annexes of San Isidro National High School (SINHS), the Pag-Oring Nuevo High School. It's situated near my cousin's family residence--she's actually a student of PNHS.

For you to have an idea where it is, if you're in Pag-Oring Nuevo Elementary School (I just wish you've been here), facing the Principal's Office, the PNHS is a little angle, north east of it. PNHS though is far-off many steps away from the Elementary School. I wondered why for I believe it would be better if the PNHS is just right beside the Pag-Oring Nuevo Elementary School just like SINHS with Libmanan South Central School.

Anyway as Meylen Gamosa describes it, PNHS is a 42-steps above the road and it takes a little effort for you to get above. But for me, taking steps is nevertheless fun and invigorating rather than exhausting because of the fresh air and the surrounding is just environment-friendly! If I am a teacher, that would be inspiring too knowing that there are students waiting for me at the top hungry for my lessons and knowledge to share!

Here are some photos I've taken during my visit.
You've figured it out. There are only few facilities at the school. There are only like 4 or 5 class rooms that can accommodate all the students, only one room of which is fully concrete and it is being occupied by 4th year students.

Students here, as it is still a SINHS sibling, wear the same uniforms and attending classes as usual. I know it's a bit different experience being at SINHS though but I can hope for the best that this school will grow and improve just like its big brother!

The school is currently under supervision of Mr. Efren Rufino O. Gamosa, TIC.
