National and Local election is here once again and as the campaign period begins, we'll start to see the streets flooded by flyers and banners of all the faces of aspiring candidates--truth is, they're already doing it even if it's not campaign period. Perhaps, even our social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter etc.) will be ruined by campaign ads of these politicians--this type of campaign is also known as "silent campaign".

Politicians will go in every corner of the town, handshake every people they could reach and, as you might picture it as well, will trick you of the sweetest but poisonous words from their mouth. I'm not generalizing all politicians though. In fact, there are really some of them who still have good intentions to be of service of the people. Who are still willing to sacrifice their time to serve well in the government. Politicians whom we can look up to and consider as modern day leaders!

It is imperative that we, voters, should be wiser this time. How many times we are opted to believe on a promise of an aspiring candidate of a government project that just flew into clouds after they are elected? Who among these candidates this coming election are really committed to the obligations of being public servants? Are they really capable enough to give us good governance? Such questions and many other things are worth considering as conditions in choosing our next set of leaders.

Whether you came from a well-off family or a poor one, choosing our leaders this election will take the slice of what we, and this country in general, will become in the next six years. So follow the basic rule: VOTE WISELY!

Here are the list of official candidates for both national and local (municipality of Libmanan only) positions for May 2013 National Election. To whom will you give your trust among them? You may leave your comments below.
